A Honeypot System for Academic Research

For my senior project at University of Cincinnati, I was part of a three-person team that developed a demonstration honeypot system.

My teammates were Mr. Robert Heile and Professor Mark Stockman. Professor Stockman was our faculty advisor, providing suggestions and oversight, and making available the hardware resources we used. Mr. Heile originated the overall design of the virtual machine network used and assembled the network. (For details of the network, see the project documentation.) He also wrote several parts of the documentation. I wrote the data collection and extraction software, wrote the other parts of the documentation, and was lead editor of the documentation.
